The Queen

I’m a master of disaster

Watch it a crumple

Down

Down

Down

Further and further away from light

I can’t tell if its the fault of mine

Or someone else’s design

That I was dubbed Queen

Of unfortunate and unplanned misery

Isn’t it nice being Queen?

A pebble had hit my perfect window

Now a small crack is there

It is small and insignificant

Barely a scratch in the reflection

I see from it

Why should royalty worry

About something so meager?

But like a fungus it grows

Spreading and spreading

Across my clear panel

What a memorizing sight

Something special just for me

No one else can see

No one else can feel

Hear

Touch

It’s all mine

Are you not envious?

That I am the reigning Queen

Of unfortunate and unplanned misery
