Queen of the Baby Mamas

I can remember a time you made me feel like a QUEEN. Cloud nine, all in love. Must’ve just been a dream. Almost 5 years later Nothing’s quite as it seems. All the fights and angry nights I just gotta scream. You gave me lies that made smiles Then you stripped that from me. All those heavenly dates Boy you made me believe. Made a fool outta me. Had a baby, Now I’m crazy Cuz ya Momma don’t agree. I’m sick of living like this Tired of tryna compete. Because before that little child I thought you made me complete. Then somehow along the way you flipped the script on me. It just ain’t meant to be, Cuz I aint down with ya team. I don’t believe in ya dreams. And I don’t let you breathe Cuz I be checkin all them lies you been kickin’ to me. I been your biggest supporter. When you needed anything, like a boost of self esteem Paint brushes, and free promotion. It was me for here ya. Glasses on, and you still don’t see. Can’t believe I treated you like KING. I admit it got different, a lot of things changed. Mind frame switched up, nothing was the same. Baby boy all in the picture. I found a reason to be better. Potential in being witcha. Create our own little family Real love, no filter. But I was feelin neglected, so you know I said it. When I was expectin, this wasn’t quite what I expected. Your love for me shifted. I thought my attitude was absolutely legit And you aint care a little bit But you had to know I wasn’t dealing with your shit. So I was no longer queen. Baby mama, Just a ghetto superstar waiting on you to go far. Only here for the dream. Waiting on you to get rich, My meal ticket? Cuz apparently I’m just here for the chicken. Accusations of me waiting for my moment in child support court. Nigga please, my momma had 3. One thing I learned, ya money don’t mean a thing. I was here for the love. I was here for a ring. Beautiful wedding. A day fit for a queen. A fairytale dream. I remember when you made me feel like a QUEEN. Then I remembered, She is still she without a KING.
