Queen of Isolation

Location

She's frozen, bitter

Keeping love inside

Been betrayed one too many times before

Alone and deceptively content

Not ready to forgive but eager to forget

Repress

Bury the pain under isolation

Believed it to be the remedy

Whistling winds and howling be her only company

Atop these mountains where so many have died

Atop these mountains where the world doesn't exist

She is happy

Queen of Isolation

Protecting her own heart

Protecting those she cares for

Alone, content and trapped with the monsters in her head
