A Queen Was Born

When she was a little girl,

She worshipped princesses,

Wishing to one day rule as they did.

As the years went on,

She knew she was growing.

Her hips now wider,

Her breasts fuller.

But she was still innocent,

Just a girl caught up in fantasies.

A dragon came to her one day,

With a gleam in his eyes.

She wanted to figure out what it meant,

And so she befriended the dragon.

He made her feel special,

Like a prince would.

But the dragon invaded her castle,

Trying to take it as his own.

He burned her,

Scars that will never heal.

And then he left her there,

Blisters festering on her heart.

What he didn’t know,

Was that he forgot some of his fire.

She holds it now,

Not to invade,

But to protect.

Whether it be herself,

Or those who need it most.

The little girl grew again,

Into a queen.
