Queen Without a Pea

After a night of restless sleep

She carried herself on as a tired heap

To the dining room she went

To scream and yell and vent

How dare they give her a lumpy bed

They all deserve a smack to the head

Upon arrival she was utterly surprised

They were pleased she was sleep deprived

It must be a dream, there’s just no way

Just then and there in the light of day

This prince she had met the night before

Placed his knee upon the floor

Then he drew from his pocket a ring

One that shined from its ginormous bling

Then he asked her the most ridiculous thing

He asked her to be his one and only queen

She stared into his eyes with deep thought

How could he just ask her to tie the knot

She tried to form some sort of coherent speech

But instead from her lips a laugh did breech

She left his castle in complete wonderment

Of how such a fool could act as government

So upon her return she spoke with her people

And told this all of this idiot no brighter than beetle

With this they all came to the conclusion

The best course of action was a forceful intrusion

Gathering her entire army and all sorts of arms

She marched to his doorfront and sounded alarms

The war was barely a day’s worth of time

With swords drawn and guns pointed in line

She didn’t need some marriage built around a pea

Witty and strong was all she needed to be
