Queens of Gold, Intelligence, and Independence

Queens of gold intelligence and independence

Makes her own decisions

Prioritizes and sacrifices for

What matters, like paying a bill

Before going to a party

Not being able to be “normal”

Because of having to worry about health issues

Queens of gold intelligence and independence

Walk tall and strong

Live alone with more than enough confidence of their safety

Put others before herself

Lend a helping hand even when

Her hand is screaming for help

Queens of gold intelligence and independence

Smile even when life is clawing them

Laugh even when it hurts

Cry even when they don’t want to

Work even when they’re hurt

Deal with too much before they say they’ve had enough

Queens of gold intelligence and independence

Tell the truth at all times even when

The truth hurts

Queens of gold intelligence and independence

Come in every color, shape, and size

And I am one of these queens

In reality and dreams
