Query For the Lost

Said the moon to the stars,

Shine to the Heavens and there'll always be light.

Said the satrs to the moon,

Never lose faith in the simplicity of your task,

for you are more importnt than you know.

Said the moon to the Earth,

Don't lose your hope for your cries are heard.

Said the Earth to the moon,

For how can I stay strong if only a few hear my suffering?

Said the moon to the telescope,

How can you see when you are blind to what's around you?

Said the telescope to the moon,

For I am only a tool for my watcher's gaze and can't show her what to see.

Said the moon to the owl,

How can you sit their and watch destrcution past?

Said the owl to the moon,

For it's not up to me to decide,

I can only adapt to the change.

Said the moon to the river,

Please say that you can help,

for you are part of this world too.

Said the river to the moon,

It is not easy to carve a canyon,

but with help I can.

There is only so much I can do.

Said the moon to the stars,

Does anyone even care?

Why should I keep asking if no one will ever decide?

Said the stars to the moon,

For it isn't all who do not care,

most don't want to believe.

You must trust that you can succeed for your goal is too great to fail.

Said the moon to the girl,

Why do you care so little when you know about death and decay?

Why do you hide behind lies when you know the truth is too great to fear?

Why do you destroy the beauty of life,

to only gain in trivial pursuits,

when you yourself are the treasured life to which you are hurting?

Said the girl to the moon,

I have to answer to give you.

I have no lies to tell.

Said the moon to the girl,

Well you must try my dear

for its not I whose planet is dying.
