The Quest

I have been sailing afar and adrift

Abroad on this quest for happiness

That people do get from their worth, who their with

Hands in the air, they wave of bliss

An envy now fills me, it is aching my bone

I cannot be like them, my heart is of stone

The months have been passing and still nothing has changed

Summer is ending, my search sustains

If life is a path full of thrills and fails

Then Heaven must be your passion on the trail

Far I run to distance everything

Time hasn't taught me much besides how to think

And the years have been unkind

But they drag at least, I guess

The triumph of my life hasn't come yet

Years ago I was steady, I sat still everyday

Waiting for some good to come my way

And look at me now, what do you see?

That greatness has still yet come to me
