The Question

(poems go

the question is..
not who was there in creating
but who was there to create
not who was there alleviating
but who was there to Alleviate

because anyone can start
but not many finish
because they lack the heart
and that's why they diminish
Anyone can Commit
but few stay committed
and so the question is

Not who felt the need to emancipate
but who felt the need to appreciate
not who felt the need to deviate
but who felt the need to acclimate

For him fatherhood was a curse
that was prevented by the condom in her purse
but when the news came, how quickly he disburse
All of a sudden it wasn't his, but hers

So alone and young
she had to raise a son
at a mere fifteen years of age

she became enticed
by the cold grip of ice
slowly building the walls to her cage

so left on the cold hard floor
they found a child when they opened the door
the child was young, no older than four
naked, eating cereal asking is there anymore?

He never knew his father
but his mother was his world
no other man cared to bother
why when alone, he dirled

until he walked in, he who knew the pain
picked me up and held me without disdain
It was then and all through out

That i would learn what being a father was truly about. here)
