Question time

Why did you go?

Why did you leave me?
Why leave me alone and afraid?

Every year that passes,

I still get no answers.
The most painful of losses

Are those that can't be explained.

I wish there could be a conclusion

To this pain and confusion

But you will never be here to say it.

To put an end to the questions

That have been festering
I don't believe in God, yet I even pray for it.

Was it me?

Was it you?

Was there anything I could do?
