Questioning the Fear

The fear that's inside us Can blind us That's what they all say But you don't really believe it Until you've seen With your own eyes A person broken, bruised And on the ground Battered and bloodied Inside and out For what? Because they're different And different is bad Right? That's what the fear says And fear is always right They say Fear controls us They say If you fear something They say Destroy it They say But must it be that way? No. No, because guess what We all have fear Regardless of what color We've been painted We're all stained on the inside With a shade of insecurity Discomfort Anxiety And if we all have fear Aren't we all Actually the same? And you know that saying, There's strength in numbers? Yeah, it's true. Cheesy, but true, Because when we all realize That we all have fear We can come together Dispel those fears And live harmoniously Right? Right.
