Questioning the universe.
Letter for the impossible
Dear Universe,
Forgive me for not being terse
In this land you left me feeling worse
Despite my hatred I shan't curse
For that would spoil the verse
But where was I?
A yes, the childish question of why
Why can't men run faster than light can fly?
Why can't good people really reach for the sky?
Is that a form of life you simply deny?
While you dangle these dreams before my eye
Forcing me into this place that has made me cry
Where many people strangle truth into a lie
Using hope to cope with life
Filled with strife and hate
Which causes people to berate others
We kill each other when we should be brothers
While in some other plane
Heroes stop the reign of the insane
Which follows a chain
That leads to peace, yet here that begins to cease
As our world is a dome
That continues to roam away from that area
Causing mass hysteria, that leads to death
To know every day somebody draws their last breath
While hearts lay still against the victims' will
And you sit there while I try to grill you into this thought
Hoping some emotion will be caught in your void
I'm tired of being toyed by you
Please make the impossibly good true
That is what want
To go to that world where the balance of good and bad belong
So, I question you, why is that so wrong?
Something wrong with this poem?
