Questions

I opened my eyes to the sound of bells

My ears ringing, hurting, pulsating

People standing, lifeless, mourning

Myself lifeless, unable to move towards the questions

Towards what I could not believe, witness, understand

Questions running through my head, repeating themselves

Viewing a person who was lively, happy, vibrant

So lifeless, cold, grey

The questions bouncing around more violently, frantic,

The questions answered,

Death is part of life

Death is inevitable, uncontrollable, unavoidable

Life is a lie, taken for granted, beautiful
