Questions

Could I forget the way I felt about you?

All the joking and everything we’ve been through

The way you held my hand

And how you were my best friend

Every little butterfly that flew around

And how your laugh was the greatest sound

I had ever heard

And I wish it was still for my ears

But you left me drowning in my tears

Because you stole my heart

And left it torn apart

In pieces on the floor

When you said you didn’t love me anymore

Said every feeling that you had was gone

Walking out, you left me all alone

With the memories

That always haunt my dreams

How could you just leave

Like you thought you meant nothing to me

Or maybe I meant nothing to you

Is that why you said we’re through?

You now have me wondering

Why you couldn’t see you were my everything

My heart, my soul, my life

Had me thinking we would always be together

But that’s all changed

Now you said you were tired of these games

What games? I’m confused, just saying

You were the only one who was playing

But now I’m done, I’m through

But how could I forget that way I felt about you?
