Questions

I look over my shoulder, a double-take, twice.

Oh, and life had once been so nice!

I ask Heaven my questions, I plea and I beg.

My unsatiable ego has been knocked down a peg.

No answers of yet have been breathed in my ear,

and getting no answers is what I most fear.

I'm in a shroud of undeniable doubt and dread,

of all those that possibly lie just ahead.

But answers will not make themselves known to me

for I am as human as any could possibly be.
