Questions to God

Why, when it hurts most, do we produce the loudest yell? Why when a higher person passes rings the loudest bell? Why do we of our past never tell? Did the tree really make the noise as it fell? What is the real difference between heaven and hell? What of our future can we truly foretell? Why do we one another sell? Why of this evil do we smell? Why on our hearts sits that void? Why of the truth do we avoid? Why of other people do we toy? What is the real difference between a girl and a boy? What is the real ploy? Why are we so easy to be annoyed? Why must we always lie? Why behind those facades must we reside? What must we do to survive? Why can we never feel truly alive? Why, when we cannot feel alive, must we die? What must happen for our hopes to revive? Why in others will we never confide? Why of love must we deny? Why can we not fly? What is truly accomplished when we fight? Why to survive must we use all our might? Why must we hide in the cloak of the night? Why must there always be misery lurking just beneath delight? How can we see but never use our sight? The answers to these questions we have always wondered, hoping against hope that somehow it will be discovered. From one person to another, these questions to us will smother. From daughter to mother, these few questions and many others, the answers we will never discover.
