What does it mean to write a poem that's not standing on pedestals of self hate?
How many pushes and pulls of the river of brain chemicals does it take for you to finally keep your balance?
When is it that left brain's struggle will simultaneously end with right brain's fight?
When will you be able to meet the gaze of self satisfaction while shaking hands with the need of self improvement?
Can the foundation of your forest be more than just a leaf stemming from the tree of someone else?
Will you take on the title of the job you're doing? Can it become one of your niches?
How much more security do you need?
Is the destination of your traveler incomprehensible to the way she planned her journey?
Is the flower of your emotions growing from the roots of artistic conventions?
How many times has his name wandered into the definition of your being? Is now the time it stops bothering you?
Will you ever stop judging the you that judges the least?
How many more dark skies will you see through your kitchen window before you realize what the actual reason you're writing is?
What exactly do you leave when you let your thoughts drip into a blank document? Why do you feel so much lighter? Do you gain something that helps you carry the weight?
When will the biggest consumer of the product of your creativity be you? When will you finally be able to sell it?
Will your computer be the only thing displayed in your museum of self?
How many more times are you gonna label the folder on your computer with “I don't write poems.”? Will the sixteenth poem saved to that folder be the first time you say otherwise?
When will the monster of your creativity stop scaring you?
When will you let an influence be an influence and not your whole being?
Does the echo of his voice live in your poems? Will his fingers stop weaving themselves between your words?
How many more Facebook statuses and fallen October nights will you remember before the sound of his name stops playing in your mind? Have you already forgotten how to hear it? Do you find the sound of “olive juice” as a song more enjoyable?
Do you know what the actual reason you're writing is?
Do you realize the center of your thoughts answers “yes.”?
Do you realize the center of your thoughts was always right?
