A starting line.
An ending line.
The winner wins.
The loser loses.

A race is run
By only runners.
Others have no chance.
And thus they don’t try.

What’s a bus seat
Or a day-dream
Or a word
Or a person?
Nothing.

But that’s not true.

A seat is movement
A dream is reality
A word is a battle cry.
A person is a people.

That is the truth.

What is the law
Or the sign
Or the county jail
Or the world?
Constant.

The law is theory.
The sign is torn.
The county jail is crumbling.
The world is changing.
