Quicksand Struggle

traight paths wrong turns
Serenity below above fire burns
Lower closer to medulla
Thus sets in the
Distraction
Attraction
To the life warned
To a place worn and torn
With seeds of destitution
Frolic Caper
With friends and strangers
Till stranger bears gifts
Gifts of grief
Yet brief
In this moment of excitement
Light up that spark up recline
And sway away
Till break of day
Routine cycle
Lifestyle settles to a trifle
What seemed cool
Then
Now seems a fool’s
Den
Of seven deadly and more sins
Steeped deep in
Pullout is a quicksand struggle
Hurdle after hurdle
Picker Upper is the only Proper Cover
Inverse to sink under
At this point beyond break
Integral from this withdrawal
Is the present of woke:wake
Running person is bound to fall
Pick up
Dust off
Run some more
The finish seems a mirage
Keep pushing and you will be surprised
Flaw is a core of our creation
Innovation and Self Reinvention
Defines us as Sapiens
With all way that life sends us on bends
For with hope we live another day
And slowly slowly we redefine our ways
