the quiet

the town too loud

the streets too bright

the house too crowded

a small girl cannot compare

the hustle in the air

she waits for the night

with the peace of sleep

but off in the distance,

a castle appears

the beauty inspires

the quiet calms

without a doubt

she runs a far

to a distant land

with the promise

the promise of quiet

as fast as she can

oh, little Rapunzel

she skips, hops, and jumps

until the day she sees it

the magnificent castle

it's beauty enchanting

to climb the golden rope

atop the castle sits a room

a room lit by the sun

filled with books and toys

filled with joy

free at last

she spends her days

among the toys
