The Quiet

The quiet place I go to has me scared

I’m stuck without being able to move

Trapped in box

Afraid to make a sound

Stuck in my mind without being able to escape

Looking around and only seeing darkness

Becoming the scared kid alone in a store

With my heart pounding

And I’m SCREAMING

but all anyone hears is the quiet

Hoping the quiet is loud enough
