A Quiet Dusk

In the whispers of the stars,

or the songs of the trees,

a moment eagerly awaits.

Words of love,

Traveling in the warm air.

The last supernova,

of the summer.

Sweet remedy,

For the troubled soul.

Scarlet red dyes our walls,

and paints our windows.

One more drink, one more toast.

Regret lingers in the air.

The city soon disappears,

into distant memories.

Why mourn, oh

sweet one.

The sky still covers your head,

The stars still shield your eyes.

Crystal bells ringing

through clear weather

As the world praises

You.

When you open your eyes,

I wish for it to be spring.

And the reds and scarlet

of this last sunset

would fade away

from your memories.
