The Quiet Before the Storm

Silence is deafening.

Feasting on the atmosphere,

He leaves in his wake

Gallons of anger, tension, and grief.

But He can be wanted like no other.

He quiets the screaming,

Hushes the blame,

The quiet before the storm.

Eventually he'll leave,

Letting his victims break.

The roaring winds start to yell,

The rain comes pouring down.

And thunder crashes,

As Lightning flashes,

Making their anger known.

Longing for Silence's return.
