Quietly Broken

Can you see it? Can you feel it? Can you sense it at all? A heart broken, battered and bruised. A soul crying for answers in the dark. Why now? Why at all? What is the reason? A million questions, all are in grief. A horrible event, lives are changed. WHAT IF? A broken chant, repeated in the soul. A lifetime of moments, lost to nothingness. Regret. Pain. Tears. Choices made, to never be unmade. Lives never lived, moments never had. Is it right? Is it fair? Will we ever know why? A world continues turning. While some lose a piece of themselves. Keep going. Don't fall. Let go. Lives change, never again the same. Dreams created, only to unravel. Can time really heal all wounds? Only time will tell whether those still broken can mend...
