quietly her
I notice her most in the way she tries not to be noticed
her forehead folding softly when she smiles
her cheeks dipping like the laugh has weight
and nothing about her feels arranged
but everything feels right anyway
and I keep noticing her in ordinary moments
when everything around me gets suddenly too quiet
and even now
I notice the space she would stand in
