Quietness

Please just for a minute

Stop and turn around

Reach for the remote

And just turn off the sound

Then switch your phone to silent

Ignore the knock on the door

Make sure kids are all at school

They won't be back 'til four

Then listen to the silence

The sound of all there is

The solace of our very souls

The life of all there is

Reflect on who we really are

Get to know ourselves

Without no outside influence

Let our spirit delve

Into solitude and silence

Reflctions of who we are

Living in the here and now

Leaving the mind ajar
