Quietus

We keep hiding –

Afraid of our darkness – our shadows –

We live in a state of dreaming –

Skeletons – that we are afraid to show.

We all have imperfections –

Some haunt us –

Sending invitations –

Creating feelings of envy.

We all have felt like we are falling –

And our voices wither away into oblivion –

And we have been so torn down by the world – fading –

Pieces of us are scattered in the wind –

And the true beauty of our souls is yet to escape –

The lions in our hearts must break out –

Allowing the fires in our minds to transshape –

Free at last – I doubt.

We have to soar over the ocean –

And to run under the storm –

And to rise above the mountain –

But all we can do is let go – fall into the abysm.
