Rabbit Hole

because im scared too

i remember you told me when we were at K'OOK last Tuesday night

and i wanted to say

me too

but at the same time i wanted to keep listening to you talk

because you started to peel the layers of your force field

you started to fall into this vortex where all your ambition goes to trash

by the third hour the waiter had stopped pouring us metallic tap water into our glasses and you sat there parched

folding the paper straw wrapper into triangles the way they teach you to fold the flag at sleepaway camp and i dont know how you were feeling as you sat there all naked

but i was falling down the rabbit hole with you
