A Rabbit's Hole
In the depths of a forest, in the depths of a soul,
There is a small, dark, a soil encrusted rabbit’s hole.
A hole full of secrets, a hole of its own dark knowledge,
Unknown to the trees, and unknown to the dark foliage.
Dark secrets, don’t tell, dark secrets it holds.
If you learn the secrets then your soul it stole.
The secret connects, like a lock and chain.
You will never change,
never be the same,
never live your life again.
It’s best to distance yourself, best to stay away
Before the secret has a chance to feast and turn you into its prey.
You are the secret’s slave not the other way around
The more you have of them, the more you are a clown,
The more you’re a fool, the more you’re in trouble,
You think you’re so tough, but your secret is that times double.
So it’s best not to have them, best to let them go,
Let your spirit be free, replenish your soul.
