This Race

You go and go In this race It takes all you got Just keep the pace At first its cakewalk In this race Easy work with no stop You can keep the pace Sometimes you will falter In this race You're injured or hurting Got to keep the pace At a point it becomes natural In this race You think you won't stop Easily keep the pace You eventually grow tired In this race You want to stop You must keep the pace Your body won't take any more In this race But you keep going You're keeping the pace The end is in sight In this race You know you will make it Pick up the pace You're finished, you're done In this race The sweet relief and happiness Stop the pace You get your reward After this race Release and rest No more pace One flat line To finish this race No winner and no loser No more pace and no more race
