The Race

In the midst of all these facesI go by unnoticed it seemsI am one and big is the raceYou could say that I am no one
That matters not in these placesMaking wishes and dreaming dreamsThat is just the start of the raceAnd I am threatened to be blown
This race is not at all for meNo, I am not the reason whyIf I was I would not be hereThen I really would be no one
I seek the things I do not seeMy eyes are fixed on the skyEven when the track is not clearFor this race has just begun
Lord, do fill me with the strengthPlease fill me with Your wisdomAlone I surely will give inDo not forsake me in this race
Oh, this path and its long long lengthMy strength and wisdom are but fewI know You will not let me goAs I go, to You I come close
And on and on this long race goesThe joy I felt when You I choseEvery day makes this race brand newThe reason for this race is You
