The Race
Pace is anything but subtle. Struggling to gasp air. You reach and feel like there is nothing there. You hold on to nothing. But the thought of holding on soothes you. You see grace in the struggle. You see passion in the cry of your community. You know deep down we're all the same. Despite the shades of grey that brings scrutimy. For people fear what they dont know instead of being open to communion. Instead of forming a union they'll watch from a distance. Far enough to evacuate when things arent as good as it seemed in the beginning. But close enough to have a hand out when the profit is flowing. There are many things im oblivious to. But this one thing im learning. People arent who they say they is. Truly they just performing. Actors with a different stature when they wake in the morning. But that's why you have to be like a statue and stand firm on your learning. They'll test your intelligenece. Say you dont carry enough wits to withstand a minute in their kitchen. Well i smell bullshit. Your candor is'nt measured in your ability to appeal. Diversity is the lava that melts through seel. Standards evaporate in this society. Into then air where you can lash your cares. Never be afraid to strike out you might catch a spare. Never stand stilll. Be a out of control windmill going downhill. Let them know that you're there. The Race is never given to the swift nor strong. But victory belongs to those who keep moving on. There will always be a story to tell for people like them.
