The Race of Life

Looking back on life, it was like a race I will admit it was not always fun I knew to look forward and set a pace I was a child raised well, by God's grace Excited to start and ready to run Looking back on life, it was like a race A teen has some hardship she has to face To live is to face them while having fun I knew to look forward and set a pace As an adult I moved up to first place While the others made mistakes, I made none Looking back on life, it was like a race Towards the end, the finish I did embrace Because of my good decisions, I won I knew to look forward and set a pace The race was complete and life I retraced My trophy was Heaven when I was done Looking back on life, it was like a race I knew to look forward and set a pace
