Rachel

I reach down and take your hand in mine

And it is cold but still comforting

As we look down from this hill

Together

We can stay here, if you want

At least until kindergarten

But that's okay, becasue I will be joining you

In a few years

At least until sixth grade

When we only spend one year in the same middle school

You in eighth and me in sixth

But it's still fine, right?

At least until ninth grade

When you are busy as a junior

And I'm a hormonal mess

And neither of us has time for each other

Are we still on the same hill?

Or has the earthquake of life shaken us apart

I don't know and I can't even ask

Because we don't talk anymore

I miss you

And I don't know how to tell you or

Say something

And I can see the chasm growing, sister

Hello! The name I'm going by on the site is Trizdy Plat. I began writing poems in ninth grade, when I met my first friend at the high school. I had never really thought much about it, but I've always loved writing stories, even thought I'm not very good. I decided to try my hand at poetry instead, and here we are! I mainly write about love and relationships, even though I'm pretty much clueless in both areas. I find that poetry has a way of communicating what you want to say, even if what you're saying makes no sense. Right?
