why is race important
or color looked at first
in this world of screwed distortion
the racial slurs they hurt

these simple words cause sonflict
when they're spoken out of anger
from businessmen to convicts
they cause us too much danger

from caucasians to hispanics
on to africans and asians
these words cause bouts of panic
and may even seem pervassive

if all the lights went out
and our vision it was cracked
would it really matter
if your color was white or black?
