Radiating light

What do I see?

What do I feel?

Are the sentiments that I convey even real?

It seems as though in this monotonous life

So many are faced with endless adversity and strife

Yet there are those who seem to radiate a lustrous light

One that emanates from their very core

So gratifying and phenomenal that you’ll be left craving more

Not only does it evoke a sense of optimism and hope so potent

But it causes you too to want to be outspoken

To make a difference in the lives of others

Seeking to better the lives of all of those who are drowning

So that they can get to their moment of crowning

This crowning moment in which they will see

That the world is not as hopeless as it may seem to be
