Rafters

The rafters hold her final plea

Her body moving in the breeze

A gentle sway from side to side

She's lulled to rest  in this lullaby

Such heavy troubles, but weightless now

Her feet so far above the ground

And in her hand a scribbled note

Of how she found a way to cope
