Raha

Wat you see on your face is a smile-

Behind that smile there is a burden hidden...

What you see in the eyes is true...

it gives so much view to the past and what life takes you through....

Experiences of bullying like no other ..

ongoing themes burned happiness another color, A head is held down due to hating oneself...

seeing beautiful girls with princes completing their fairytales,

Coming home with tears full of depression..

Mother was always there guiding through deep confessions,

Smiles are covered by your hands due to inaccurate beliefs...

Mother tried to show such beautiful teeth,

She says "look in the mirror.. what do you see?"

You respond with "what boy could possibly want me?",

Spring has come..still no date to the dance,,

Sitting alone trying to smile when your parents glance,

Slow music plays -

Everyone's dancing...

Still sitting alone until father comes pacing,

He takes your hand then says "have this dance with me"..

Cries flood through ..

Soaking desperately,

Father says "you're my heart my butterfly queen"..

Smiles and giggles leave warm feelings,

Years have passed..

now sitting at 21..

Shipped off overseas with no contact with anyone,

Mother and fathe rcried each night you were gone..

A letter comes through..

Both parents have now passed on,

you try to hide the pain,

But they bleed on you..

Your eyes tell a story raha,..

Life has reaped through you
