Raid
In a small remote place
A man and his man prepared for a raid
They had the whole village stretched out,
beneath their feet they were on a mount
The whole village lay peaceful
Next moment, cries of fury and death
Ordained village men tried to stop the raid with
but gunpowder wasnt enough, the raiders were for blood
Were on a raid of death for plunder and spoil
heads cut off, guts were dragged off
men lay dying with their hearts on the floor
Somewhere, a pregnant woman knelt pleading
before a raider who wasnt sure a heart was within him
He brought out his sword, slowly brandishing
the child in her womb kicking, please dont do this
slash! His blade killed air and swept across her womb
the child fell , as dead as the womb
The manraider gave a cry and fell down, dead
He disobeyed a law and ate what it bred
