Rain

It drips and trickles on me.

An everlasting pain

to know that this was the weather

when I left him once again.

The rain.

That in which cleansed me of my filth.

His drunken and slurred words

pouring down on me, like fire and brimstone.

Like the aftermath of a lifetime filled with sins.

Completely drenched.

Soaked like a lost puppy,

who was never lost,

but had no home.
