Rain
Overlook the saddened pleas of those who request for your removal
To I, you bring joy and pleasure
To others you bring only misery
Don’t go away
Don’t come again another day
I stroll among the empty streets
Peering at the gray clouds
Falling gently on my hair
The rain dancing upon my lips
I open my mouth to catch the rain
Please stay
Tapping at my window, as if you want to come inside
The soft pitter-patter of the rain upon the roof
How it cascades and struggles out
An overflowing water spout
Restless
Cuddled up in the blankets of my bed
There can be something soothing
About a day of pouring rain
A strange sort of comfort
To enter the heart of peace and rest
You’re like a lullaby
Aimlessly in deep slumber
softly whispering, “goodnight”
Oh, rain
So delicate
I shall never see again
Your tears
Something so pure,
So plain
Something wrong with this poem?
