Rain
The rain is coming.
I see it falling.
It's here to see my pain I say.
It comes and goes.
So nobody knows on when it plans to stay.
I see the streaking
the picture fading
of joy that lasted for one day.
Puddles forming.
Myself imploring.
On why it had to come today.
The thunder crashes.
The lightning flashes.
That's not the only thing scaring me away.
My window open.
The painful memories flowing.
Of what I thought was here to stay.
I walk alone down that dark dreary path.
The rain is pouring the wind is blowing.
Both try and block my way.
The wind saying there's no joy down here anyway.
I do not believe.
For behind me I see the billowing smoke.
Burning the love that was meant to stay.
I keep on walking.
Past the stranger gawking.
I knew him once.
So long ago.
But that memory has slipped away.
For one quick moment.
A glimmer of hope.
The sun comes out.
Though not to stay.
I see the shine.
I feel the warmth.
I look up and see the colors form.
But now that moment is past and gone.
And again alone I travel on.
People stop and try to help.
But soon forget my needs anyway.
The wind and rain.
My only companions.
Both trying to get me to turn away.
But so far have I come.
To do what's been undone.
Into myself.
I deeper crawl.
For no one knows why I fall.
They just see me cry and crawl.
No desire to help at all.
just when all hope is lost.
I see the face of someone that cost.
They reach out.
As if too say.
I know I hurt you.
But who cares anyway.
I close my eyes.
The rain seeping from them.
For now all hope is gone.
My sanity hanging from one frayed thread.
And just when i.
About to scream.
Someones love around me seams up the pain and scars.
Left by those who run and parr.
They seem to not care what I've done.
Only what.
I can become.
And now. I see.
The rain.
It stops.
And now.
The shine.
No longer stops.
The rain.
For now it comes and goes.
But no longer stays in my behold.
For the love.
So pure and strong.
Strengthens what once was gone.
