Rain

Rain drips down the windowsill

Of a large room in Burbank

The rain ends and we pack our house

We moved on to a new house

A new change.

Rain drops down the cracked window

Of a tiny room in Bridgeview

The rain ends and we pack our house

We move on to a new house

A new change.

Rain drips down the polished windowsill

Of a comfortable house in Elmhurst

The rain ends

We unpack

We stay

You cannot trust the change of the place you call home

But you can always trust the rain to come

Dripping down your windowsill
