Before the Rain

The clouds roll in,

and the breeze blows by.

Just before the rain.

I can smell the earth,

and taste the sky.

Just before the rain.

I breathe it all in,

and I feel so high.

Just before the rain.

The world stands still,

and I wonder why.

Just before the rain.

The enjoyment passes,

and the wind starts to die.

Just before the rain.

I see it near so I take a sigh,

because here it is,

The rain.
