The Rain

Suddenly it has come to me. The rain kissing my face The water to erase the scum that came from my past--The hurricane that was here before is coming once more. I should run from the pain. But the soothing sights and sounds, the breeze blowing 'round, tell me I will gain From the sweet whisper of the rain I hear the Whoosh Coming closer, with more weight than before The breeze that caressed me turned--Turned to a wind of the insane I am frightened--scared of the droplets hitting me with such intensity The waters rise above me, drowning me so I am never the same The cataclysm come again. I cry out in vain For the pattern to cease, the repeating rain The rain has left me. Scorned. Torn. I rest in the tragedy left with another stain Who knows when the next storm will come I cry-complain-curse the sky, but I only have myself to blame I sit.alone.Watching the water drain And the sky still gray, holds me forever prisoner. In this land of rain
