Rain

Dreary gray skies

blurred by the torrent.

The quiet pitter-patter

rises to a roar.

Bitting cold clings

to soaked fabric.

But just as quickly as

the downpour starts,

it stops.

Sunlight pushes its way

through lightening clouds.

The morning dew glimmers

against shades of green.

Above it all, colors streak

across the expanding sky.

reaching from one end of

the horizon to the other.
