Rain
I find myself alone
As the rain falls
Slow at first
And then hard
I hear it screaming
As it falls to the earth
It will be a raindrop
No more
But one unity of water
That will be joined by others
Until the last drop falls
When that time comes
There will be no more raindrops
To cleanse the earth
Only puddles of despair
To wash away the ugliness
Of human existence
But for now the raindrops fall
Millions together with no shame
Only torment in knowing
They may never fall again
