Rain

Location

If I were the rain,
my drops would not fall parallel,
they would hit you in the face
and make you want to turn away.

If I were the rain,
my drops would bleach
all the color out of the world
and make you want to turn away.

If I were the rain,
my drops would not sound rhythmic,
they would fill the air with din
and make you want to turn away.

If I were the rain,
my drops would chill you
to the very soul
and make you want to turn away.

I am
Not the rain,
but drops fall
nonetheless.
