Rain

Let's pretend it's raining
Drip drip dropping
Leaving us alone
Together forever
Let's pretend it's pouring
Splish splash splooshing
Filling our souls with water
Washing our secrets, sorrows
All down the drain
Let's pretend it's storming
So you can hold me close
Protect me from fears
So I find comfort in Zeus's bolt
Let's just pretend it's raining
So all the dirt and grime of issues
Will puddle at our feet
And become irrelevant
We can smile when we're clean
We can smile when it's raining
