Rain

(poems go here) I hide behind my window glass To observe the wild rain outside. A safety. Home inside a silent world. If I would venture out into, The glory of these diamond drops, Would I but melt away in bliss? A freedom in such little acts. Oh dream. Oh misty universe, my soul Encompassed in the rhythm. Yet…quiet undercurrents of My heartbeat. What happiness could I attain enveloped in this pounding beat? A love of liberty and the rush? To escape from this mundane trap Of metal, wood and gloom. Oh joy! But wonder holds me back. Simple awe and wonder holds me Still behind this window pane. If I was but to wander out from looking Into seeing. Oh what a magical world this dream Could be.
